Meet Our Founder

As a Registered Nurse and nutrition coach, Levi Barbee, founder of UpFresh Kitchen, knows what a poor diet can do to a person’s overall health and quality of life. And, he knew there had to be a better, tastier, more convenient and affordable way for people to enjoy healthier meals.

It started as a need through the hospital. some of the physicians and nurses I worked with were asking for help with nutrition and how to lose weight, how to feel better. I started to help them with nutritional coaching ... and then people ask me 'Hey, can you prepare the food for me?'
In 2017, he founded the business that would become UpFresh Kitchen. It’s a healthier food franchise concept designed for expansion, that uniquely incorporates a restaurant concept, meal plans, catering, and pick-up locations throughout the community for meal plans through strategic partnerships with gyms and other community hubs.

The UpFresh Kitchen team has created a business that is in demand and growing quickly. Now, with multiple restaurant locations, daily meal plan order volumes that have increased dramatically, and a growing number of community pick up locations, the UpFresh Kitchen brand is expanding through its franchise program.
